Let Albert Pujols go and sign….

I Heard on the news that St. Louis brought in Mark Buerle for a visit this week, being that he is a free agent after the White Sox seem not to be interested in re-signing him.

So here is my thought….

Let Pujols go, and use that payroll to sign both Mark Buehrle and Yuniesky Betancourt or Rafael Furcal.

For the next year’s rotation, it would seem to go as follows…

Wainwright
Carpenter
Buehrle
Lohse
Garcia

The only other starting rotation that would be better than that is Philly.

Sign one of the mentioned shortstops to a one year plus option contract, and you are pretty much set to make a run at defending the title.

Move Lance Berkman to 1st, and start Matt Holliday, John Jay, and Allen Craig in the outfield.
