The Ship Shumaker Project Kicked Off Yesterday…

Skip Shumaker

…and turned out ok. No errors, no mistakes, but nothing really to knock your socks off. Skip cuaght a popup and a line drive, but no 6-4-3, 4-6-3, or even a groud ball.

He had a lot more action in the lead off position. 2-4, and reaching base three times. No matter what, that is what the Cardinals need from him the most, getting on base. One way or the other, Skip is going to be in the lineup, whether at 2nd base or the outfield. However, if Skip can handle his own at the number 4, it would help out the team tremendouly, given that they are over loaded in the outfield.
